Most tourists arrive in Costa Rica through one of two international airports. SJO, or San Juantamaria Airport, in Alajuela is the larger of the two and is not too far north of the capital city of San Jose. The other is LIR, the Daniael Oduber Quiros Airport, in Liberia.
